Is Alyssa Valdez finally on her way to the semi-pro league?

The internet were abuzz with reports that the very popular former Ateneo spiker is in talks with several teams in the Philippine Superliga in a hope to join the league mid-season.

Several sources privy to the negotiations said the camp of Valdez, whose massive power and megawatt smile brought in throngs of rabid fans, is in negotiations with representatives of Petron, Cignal and RC Cola.

Valdez refused to comment on the reports, but several other sources said they are working out Valdez’s entry into the PSL which could also pave way for her inclusion in national team in two major international tournaments.

The PSL is sending selection squads in the Asian Volleyball Confederation Women’s Club Championships on Sept. 3-11 in Binan, Laguna, and the FIVB Women’s Club World Championships Oct. 18-23 at Mall of Asia Arena.
