RK Ilagan went ablaze in the second half and drilled seven treys to deliver San Sebastian its fourth straight win, 77-69, over Lyceum Tuesday in the NCAA Season 92 men’s basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The 19-year-old rookie fired 7-of-13 from beyond the arc to finish with 25 points, 23 coming in the second half, alongside four rebounds in the victory.

“I guess everybody wanted to win and everybody stepped up for us and played defense,” said coach Egay Macaraya, as the Golden Stags played probably their best game to date and improved to a 5-9 slate.

Jerick Fabian also added 12 markers and five boards, while Alvin Capobres got 10 points and seven rebounds for San Sebastian.

Allyn Bulanadi also wound up with 10.

But the spotlight was on Ilagan, who Macaraya lauded for his excellent sniping all season long.

“Hindi naman natin maalis kay RK yung lahat ng pagtira sa three points kasi inborn na ata sa kanya yun,” he said.

Mike Nzeusseu topped Lyceum (5-8) with a double-double of 24 points to go with 19 rebounds.
