The King makes his much-awaited return to the Philippines next week.
Three-time NBA champion LeBron James will visit the country for the third time on September 8 to 9 for the LeBron James Tour Manila 2016 to inspire Filipino fans to silence doubters the same way he helped Cleveland win its first major sports championship in 52 years.
James’ two-day visit was inspired by his unbelievable comeback in the recent NBA Finals, where the Cavaliers came back from a 1-3 series deficit and upset defending champ Golden State, leading both teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.
Here, James will impart knowledge to young basketball aspirants to conquer their fears and defy the odds.
He will first hold the Battle the Doubt Bootcamp on Sept. 8, where professional Nike coaches and athletes from select schools and different barangays will partake in activities that “focus on the common reservations that basketball players face, ranging from mental obstacles to working with a team to technical skills.”
Participants will also have a chance to hear motivational talks, have fitness assessments, and take part in team building activities, skills training, and a chance to face off against James himself.
He will also hold a LeBron James Battle the Doubt Night on that evening at Araneta Coliseum with James promising “a night of inspiration from some of the best basketball players in the Philippines.”
James’ visit continues the next day, where a select quantity of the new Nike Soldier X Camo colorway will be available exclusively at Titan Fort BGC.
