A UNIQUE ceremony ushers in a new UAAP season with host University of Santo Tomas taking the kickoff celebration outdoors today.
“It will be a very simple opening ceremony,” said league president Fr. Ermito de Sagon. “But we thought of making it more interesting. We also wanted the opening to include all athletes, not just [those in] basketball.”
A concert party, ballroom dancing, fireworks and a parade of athletes from the eight member schools highlight the rite starting at 2 p.m. on the UST campus grounds. Jasmine W. Payo
