San Beda College never stepped out of its dominant form, clinching the men’s swimming crown for the sixth straight edition of the Philippine Sports Commission-University Games Friday in Roxas City, Capiz.

In sepak takraw, Rizal Technological University emerged with crown unbeaten in three games after scoring a 2-0 win over DMMAS College of Southern Philippines.
West Negros University sealed the first semifinals seat in men’s basketball via a 77-51 cruise over Ateneo de Zamboanga while St. Francis of Assisi College encountered another tough costumer in University of St. La Salle, 71-60, to set up the semis duel with WNU.
College of St. Benilde faces UP Diliman and defending champion Adamson University takes on St. Louis University in the final four of women’s basketball.
Central Philippine University nailed a semifinal seat in women’s volleyball after beating Ateneo de Manila in straight sets, 25-18, 25-22, 25-11, while the men’s football quarterfinals saw UP Diliman defeating CSB, 2-1 and USLS humiliating Ateneo de Manila, 6-0.
