University of Santo Tomas gave students from UAAP members schools a glimpse of its rich history and tradition during the UAAP Season 79 opening festivities Saturday held at the host’s campus in Manila.
The visiting student-athletes from other schools along with Thomasians passed through the historic Arch of the Centuries, a tradition among freshmen and graduating students in UST, as part of the parade.
The event culminated at the Plaza Mayor with the iconic UST Main Building in the background with a grandiose fireworks display, also a staple in most of UST’s events in its campus, capping off the ceremonies led by UST athletes and officials. CFC
