WATCH: Donaire gets playful with Golden State Warrior Klay Thompson
Ahead of his much anticipated return to the boxing ring in November, WBO Super Bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire had some fun with one half of the Golden State Warriors’ Splash brothers duo—Klay Thompson.
On Monday, “The Filipino Flash” posted a 7-second clip on Facebook showing him playfully “boxing” with the sweet-stroking All-Star.
As seen in the video, Donaire had to stand on a couch to match the height of the 6’7 athlete, while a gloved Thompson threw jabs at his open palm.
“Boxing with my boy @klaythompson while others are playing #golf. He’s hella tall. I’d have to wear stilts to hold mitts for him,” the former four-weight world champion playfully captioned the post.
Known for his phenomenal hand speed and punching power, Donaire (37-3) will defend his title against undefeated American Jessie Magdaleno (23-0) inside the Thomas & Mack Center in Paradise, Nevada.
