Stronger PSC eyed while waiting for DoS

STRENGTHEN the foundation of the  talent discovery program.

1-Pacman party-list Rep. Mikee Romero came up with this conclusion after gracing the two-day consultative meeting among sports leaders organized by the Philippine Sports Commission.

“Based on that summit, I found out that our country has no genuine developmental and grassroots program,” said Romero, vice chair of the House committee on youth and sports.

An immediate solution, Romero suggested, would be to give the PSC more muscle to focus on talent identification and discovery while the creation of the Department of Sports is in progress.

“I will ask the President (Duterte) for additional powers for the PSC,” said Romero.
