BIÑAN, Laguna-Japan continued its dominance in the Asian Volleyball Confederation Asian Women’s Club Championship pulling apart Vietnam in straight sets, 25-15, 25-19, 25-13, Wednesday at Alonte Sports Arena.
It’s now a 4-0 record for the NEC Red Rockets as they topped Group E.
Mizuki Yanagita led the Japanese with 14 points while Sarina Koga, Kana Ono, and reserve spiker Ayana Oyama had 10 points apiece.
Pham Thi Nguyet Anh had eight points to lead Thongtin Lien Viet Post Bank which has a 2-2 record in Group F.
Japan and Vietnam were in different groups in the preliminaries but the classification stages pit clubs against other pools.
