BIÑAN, Laguna—Iran made quick work of Chinese-Taipei, 25-14, 25-16, 25-12, to improve in the classification stages of the Asian Volleyball Confederation Asian Women’s Club Championship Wednesday at Alonte Sports Arena.
Sarmayeh Bank, the Iranian representatives, improved to 1-2 in Pool F while T. Grand dropped to 0-3.
Mahsa Kadkhoda led Iran’s three-pronged attack with 16 points while Esfahani Maedeh Borhani and Zeinab Giveh combined for 25 points.
Iran practically owned every offensive category in the match outscoring Chinese-Taipei 41-20 in spikes and 9-2 in service aces.
Defense was also in the favor of the Iranians as they had nine points off blocks.
Chen-Yu Huang had six points to lead T. Grand.
