PWA chief: Diaz feat boosts unrecognized sports

FORMER Philippine Olympic Committee chair Monico Puentevella said Hidilyn Diaz’ silver medal in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics has boosted unrecognized disciplines such as archery, judo, table tennis and shooting. He urged officials to act on this and give these sports needed logistics for the Palarong Pambansa and Batang Pinoy. Puentevella also asked the Education department and the Commission on Higher Education to coordinate their Physical Education programs with the PSC and POC. June Navarro
