St. Clare trounces Enderun

ST. CLARE slammed erstwhile unbeaten Enderun, 88-65, even as Rizal Technological nipped AMA, 96-93, yesterday in the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities men’s basketball.

The Saints, on a hunt for their first title in four years, were never bothered despite playing in Enderun’s home court, leading all way to their fifth victory in as many outings. Enderun fell to 4-1.

Sharing the spotlight are the Thunder who scored their third win in six games and dealt the Titans their four defeat in six starts.

Taby Cruz and Kerr Bangeles had a field day in RTU offense, banging in 21 points each. Cruz hit three three-pointers.

But it was Riva Storm who made the difference for the Thunder with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.

Roque Estoce added 12 points for RTU.

Jordan Jayson shone for AMA, the 2005 champion, with 24 points on top of 17 rebounds and two blocked shots.
