WWE CWC: Fil-Am Perkins makes it to the Final Four
TJ Perkins is one of the last four men standing.
The Fil-Am technician submitted fan favorite Rich Swann in their quarterfinal duel to advance to the Final Four of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic Wednesday (Thursday Manila time) at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
Article continues after this advertisementPerkins reversed Swann’s DDT attempt to a standing fireman’s carry and transitioned it to an overhead kick, before locking in his kneebar for the win.
The California-based wrestler also capitalized on his foe’s injured left knee after he evaded Swann’s moonsault attempt to the outside early in the matchup.
With this win, Perkins moves on to the semifinals, where the dangerous Kota Ibushi awaits him. The Japanese striker beat Brian Kendrick last week to make it to the Final Four.
