Japan’s NEC Red Rockets win AWCC title

NEC Red Rockets of Japan crushed Ba’Yi Shengzhen of China, 25-23, 25-19, 25-21, to capture the AVC Women’s Club championship.

Sarina Koga unloaded 16 points for Japan, four of them on attacks, and was named Most Valuable Player of the meet.

Defending champion Bangkok Glass clawed back from two sets down to outlast Altay VC of Kazakhstan, 22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-6, to settle for third place.
