It looks like Kiefer Ravena is set to take his talents to Texas.

Ravena, who has yet to play a single of professional basketball in the Philippines, has earned a tryout for the Dallas Mavericks’ NBA D-League affiliate Texas Legends.

Ateneo’s former two-time UAAP MVP posted a screenshot of his conversation with Legends President Malcolm Farmer where the executive is anticipating Ravena over the weekend.

“Kiefer, good talk to you just now, looking forward to this weekend,” said Farmer.

Ravena has been in the States for the better part for the year, playing in the Drew League, a popular pro-am summer league in the United States representing the Reapers, among other things.

The son of PBA legend Bong Ravena asked for support and prayers from fans as he embarks on a new journey.

“I ask each of you for your prayers an thoughts over the next several days as I journey to Dallas to take the next step in OUR DREAM,” he said in the same post.

In the event of an inclusion to the team, Ravena could join Gilas compatriot Bobby Ray Parks.
