University of Santo Tomas is set to suffer another blow this UAAP Season 79.
Mario Bonleon injured his left hand and may sit the next few games, or worse, could be ruled out of the season.
The Varsitarian first reported the news.

The 6-foot-4 winger has been averaging 4.7 points for the Growling Tigers this season, and tallied three points in six minutes of action in UST’s 100-62 defeat to La Salle on Wednesday.
Sought for comments, coach Boy Sablan still looked optimistic that Bonleon can still suit up this season.
“Mayroon pang other ways na pwede gawin. Hindi pa sya totally out for the season,” he said. “Waiting pa rin kami. Tinitingnan pa natin yung ibang options na pwedeng gawin sa injury nya.”

Sablan said that a surgery would definitely end his season, but UST (1-2) is hoping that the sophomore can play through the injury.
“Tingnan natin in the coming days kung ano yung pwede talagang gawin,” he said.
The Growling Tigers will next face UP (0-2) on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
