National University routed Adamson University, 5-0, to open its three-peat bid in the men’s division on a high note Saturday in the UAAP Season 79 badminton tournament at the Rizal Memorial Badminton Hall.

Now under new coach Jaime Llanes, the Bulldogs stretched their winning streak to 19 ties which dates back to 2014.

Llanes took over from Jojo Mance, who steered NU to three titles in the last four years, in the off-season.

The Bulldogs, who lost last year’s MVP Peter Magnaye to graduation, shoot for a second straight win against the Growling Tigers in one of the four scheduled ties starting at 8 a.m. at the Malate venue.
