DOTTIE Ardina closed out with a level-par 72 on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) and settled for a share of 13th spot in the Symetra Tour’s Garden City Charity Classic won by Christine Song at the Buffalo Dunes course in Kansas City.
Ardina, the former Philippine team spearhead who is still seeking a breakthrough international win as a pro, mixed three birdies with as many bogeys for a four-under 212, nine shots behind Song. She picked up $1,721 (about P82,000).
Mia Piccio also had a 72 for 217 and won $960.
Ardina and Piccio are trying to finish in the tour’s top 10 for the season to earn passage into the lucrative US LPGA. Musong R. Castillo
