20-point fourth quarter lead may not be enough to break Alaska, but a clutch three-pointer might do the trick.

Just ask Ginebra import Justin Brownlee.

Brownlee willed Ginebra past the Aces, 109-104, going absolutely clutch when the Gin Kings squandered their 86-66 lead in the fourth.

“We expected them to never give up and always keep fighting, that’s the type of team they are, they are very aggressive on defense and they just never gave up and they gave us a very tough game,” said Brownlee Friday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

With Aces import LaDontae Henton hounding him at the top of the key, Brownlee pulled up and banked in a triple with 9.6 seconds left and giving Ginebra a 108-104 buffer.

“I’m just trying to get the best shot we could get, fortunately it went in, it felt good,” said Brownlee. “God helped me out, I’m really just happy and it was kind of a backbreaker for them.”

“So it was a fun game, very fun game.”
