Philippine Army, Vietnam face each other in V-League Club finals
MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Army and Vietnamese club Vietsovpetro set up an anticipated finals meeting in the V-League SEA Club Invitational after bundling out separate foes Saturday at the San Juan Arena.
The Lady Troopers, composed of the country’s veteran volleybelles, made short work of the undermanned Ateneo Lady Eagles, 25-13, 25-9, 25-17.
Mayette Carolino finished with 11 points in forefronting Philippine Army’s wall of defense while Mary Jean Balse and Nerissa Bautista added nine points each.

Martynova shone with 18 points, all but three coming from kills, while Thran Ti Loan came in second best in her team with 14 points.
In the first clash between Philippine Army and Vietnamese club last Friday, Vietsovpetro prevailed in a three set victory.
