PATTS, PWU, LCCM share lead in 8th ISAA

Philippine Women’s University flashed its fiery form to stop the winning run of La Consolacion College-Manila, 60-55, even as titleholder PATTS College of Aeronautics continued its masterful recovery with a 84-61 win over host St. Dominic College of Asia in the 8th Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association at the LCCM Gym in Mendiola.

Main man Jezrell Andaya joined hands with streak-shooting Jasper Alvez and Christian Estevez to power the Patriots and end the three-game winning streak of the Blue Royals, who got a combined 25 points from Juan Miguel Gula and Thurlough Grealy.

Later, PATTS made it a three-way tie for the lead after a dominating show against SDCA.

The Patriots, Blue Royals and Seahorses are tied for the lead with identical 3-1 records.

PATTS actually padded its winning streak to three after losing to LCCM in the opener of the league at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Pikemen of SDCA dropped to an even 2-2 mark, while Manila Tytana Colleges which routed FEATI University, 85-65 in the second game.

The MTC Titans snapped a three-game losing streak, while Seahawks dropped to 0-4.
