Day-McIlroy exhibition set at Pradera Verde

JASON Day and Rory McIlroy will bring world-class golf to the country on Nov. 29 and the organizers of the 18-hole event are leaving no stones unturned in bringing the action to the Filipinos through TV5.

Filipino Olympian Miguel Tabuena will sit as one of the commentators of the coverage, making sure that every shot of the world’s top two golfers are analyzed and understood by the common viewer.

The event was launched on Tuesday at Shangri-La at The Fort with Pradera Verde, the newest layout in Pampanga, to host the stroke play exhibition between the half-Filipino Day and Irishman McIlroy.

Tabuena coming in as a guest analyst will give televiewers a better understanding of how players of world-class caliber think during rounds.

Day-McIlroy will be the biggest golfing event in the country in terms of star power in close to two decades.

Menlo Renewable Energy will be bankrolling the project through the efforts of its chair, Salvador Zamora.
