Superal fires 67, logs 2nd pro win
Princess Superal birdied two of her last three holes for a bogey-free five-under-par 67 and completed a come-from-behind win in the ICTSI Eastridge Ladies Invitational, nipping the amateur Pauline del Rosario by a stroke, to remain unbeaten in two tournaments as a pro.
The 19-year-old Superal, who is seeking to crash the US LPGA ranks later this year, birdied the par-3 16th from five feet and then two-putted for another on the 54th hole to rally from a stroke down and claim the title with a 209 tally at the challenging Eastridge in Binangonan, Rizal.
“I didn’t expect it, but I am super happy,” Superal said. “I needed to play really well because Pau (Del Rosario) was so solid all week. Thank God, I won again.”
