It was a nightmare of a fourth quarter for Adamson on Sunday.

The Falcons suffered a monumental collapse as they allowed University of the East to chalk one in the win column in a 64-57 victory on Sunday.

Even Jerrick Ahanmisi agreed Adamson just lost discipline late in the loss.

“It’s just we got lost into the system. We didn’t fight back really. It was our loss.”

The Fil-Nigerian rookie also had to deal with pain after he got kneed in the right thigh early in the fourth.

His absence proved to be a huge loss for Adamson as the Red Warriors went on a 13-1 tear to start the fourth and establish a 53-46 edge midway through the payoff period.

Ahanmisi returned in the game but had to play through the pain.

“I was just trying to bury it. I kind of felt it, but I didn’t let it take over my mind.”

He finished 10 markers, five boards, and five dimes, but it was a case of too little too late as UE already had the confidence to seal its first win of the season.

Ahanmisi hopes Adamson can pick up valuable lessons from the stinging defeat.

“I think it’s a lesson we have to learn, that we can’t give up even though we’re down in the game,” he said. “We just have to keep playing hard and keep playing together, not lose track of the system.”

The Falcons eye to end the first round on a winning note against skidding University of Santo Tomas on Wednesday.

“I think our mindset is the same as it has been, keep playing hard every game, play with more fire as the last game, and keep the fighting spirit,” said Ahanmisi.
