No vacation plans for Beermen , says Fajardo
Barangay Ginebra came into Sunday’s game eyeing to clinch a seat in the finals. San Miguel Beer, however, had other plans in mind and it was certainly not about taking a vacation.
“Kailangan talaga manalo, ayaw pa namin mag bakasyon,” said SMB center June Mar Fajardo Sunday after bludgeoning Ginebra, 101-72.

Putting that painful memory behind, Fajardo and company immediately raced to a 17-9 lead in the first six minutes of the game and eventually took control in the second quarter when the Beermen outscored the Gin Kings, 25-7, to finish the first half with a 55-29 lead.
“Nag-mature na kami, nag-set kami ng plays, hindi namin pinapabayaan ang lead,” said Fajardo. “Hindi kami puwede makipagsabayan sa takbuhan.”
Article continues after this advertisementSan Miguel’s dominance was evident in Game 4 as it led by as much as 33 points and never trailed.
“Kailangan talaga mag-bounce back, yung mga natitirang games do-or-die na para sa amin,” said Fajardo, who had 17 points and 16 rebounds.
