Bureau of Customs didn’t need the services of their imports as it made quick work of University of the Philippines, 25-23, 25-18, 25-22, Monday in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Reinforced Conference at Philsports Arena in Pasig.

Coach Sherwin Meneses had his full trust on his bench as the Transformers humbled the Lady Maroons.

“Siyempre veterans pa rin naman ang naiwan sa bench kahit hindi nakalaro ang mga imports namin. Nag-step up naman sila,” he said.

Alyssa Valdez showed the way for Customs, firing 18 points built on 14 hits with three service aces, and a block.

Rose Marie Vargas also got 15 of her 17 markers from attacks, while Lilet Mabbayad had 10.

Technical problems prevented Customs’ Thai imports Kanjana Kuthaisong and Natthanicha Jaisaen from playing in the match, but Meneses assured that the two will be suiting up for the Transformers’ next game against Laoag.

“Next game, makakalaro na naman sila. Yung papers, na-submit na lahat. May konti na lang na confidential pero hayaan na lang natin (ang management) mag-ayos nun,” he said.

Nicole Tiamzon led UP with 15 points in the loss.
