After establishing himself as a respectable cog with Cafe France, Carl Bryan Cruz is now ready to make the jump as he leads the early entrants for the 2016 PBA Rookie Draft.
The 6-foot-5 forward from Far Eastern University leads the 17-man list of those who have already declared their intention to go pros.
Thanks to his huge impact for the Bakers in the PBA D-League, Cruz has earned himself a spot in the national team which saw action in the 2016 Fiba Asia Challenge in Tehran, Iran.
Guards are also set to dominate the Draft with Centro Escolar University shooter Aaron Jeruta, Billy Robles from Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College, Jose Rizal University gunslinger Jaycee Asuncion, and Emilio Aguinaldo College guard Jan Jamon also in the list.
Fil-Am wingers Ryan Arambulo and Rashawn McCarthy have also thrown itself enter the Draft, together with Filsports Basketball Association (FBA) MVP Levi Hernandez from Arellano.
Mapua bruisers Joseph Eriobu and Jessie Saitanan, St. Clare College’s Raymond Jamito and Jayson Ibay, and UE’s Jairold Flores and Erwin Duran have also thrown their names in the pool.
Completing the early entrants are Timothy Habelito of Queensland University of Technology in New Zealand, STI’s Cedrick Ablaza, and St. Benilde’s Jericho de Guzman.
The 2016 PBA Rookie Draft is on October 30.
