Mangulabnan clinches twin Superbikes titles
Marvin Mangulabnan capped his amazing season with victory in the final race at Clark International Speedway in Pampanga to clinch the overall championship in the 2016 Pirelli Superbikes Series.
Mangulabnan, ace rider of BMW Racing Team, wrapped up his campaign with a runaway 302.5-point total in the series.
Former champion Dashi Watanabe settled for second runner-up overall with 256 points, followed by Troy Alberto with 230.
Mangulabnan hit the fastest lap time of 1:52.257 in the Final race en route to a 10-lap victory in 19 minutes and 1.278 seconds, 1.113 seconds clear of Watanabe. Steve Silva, motorsports contributor
