Alyssa Valdez and Bureau of Customs, unbeaten in their first two games, are slight favorites to pick up their third victory when they go up against BaliPure in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Reinforced Conference at Philsports Arena in Pasig.

The BOC Transformers will take on Valdez’s former team in the 6 p.m. main game.

Earlier, Team Laoag and Philippine Air Force, tied at 1-1, tangle at 4 p.m.

As if the power-hitting Valdez is not enough, Customs’ Thai imports Kanjana Kuthaisong and Natthanicha Jaisaen will finally suit up after securing their International Transfer Certificates.

Customs is coming off an 18-25, 27-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-9 win over Laoag that also saw Valdez fire a record 39 points.

On the other hand, BaliPure dropped its first match to idle unbeaten leader University of Santo Tomas, 25-21, 21-25, 23-25, 13-25.

The Water Defenders are unfazed though and know that another loss would hamper their bid for a seat in the next round.

Their familiarity with Valdez’s game is also a factor in their quest for a first win.

“We will always be teammates by heart,” said Amy Ahomiro. “Nothing will change.”

In the Spikers’ Turf Season 2 Reinforced Conference, Instituto Estetico Manila clashes with winless 100Plus at 12:30 p.m.
