UAAP postpones games due to typhoon ‘Karen’

The UAAP has postponed its games on Sunday due to typhoon “Karen” (international name: Sarika), the league announced Saturday.

“All UAAP Games tomorrow, October 16, 2016 will be re-scheduled on a later date due to typhoon ‘Karen.’ We will notify you immediately of the rescheduling of the sai games,” the statement read. 

Affected by the cancelation are all table tennis games, men’s and women’s basketball and boys and girls volleyball.

The doubleheader pitting University of the East against Far Eastern University, and Adamson against Ateneo was supposed to be played Sunday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

In its 5 p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Karen is expected to make landfall Sunday night.

The typhoon has placed Metro Manila under Signal No. 2.
