University of Santo Tomas was rolling heading into its fifth game in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Reinforced Conference.
The Tigresses, however, ran into a wall in Bureau of Customs and its star spiker Alyssa Valdez to lost in a devastating three-set sweep, 25-17,26-24, 25-15, at San Juan Arena.
UST head coach Kung Fu Reyes said the loss dealt them a massive reality check, and their 4-1 record is a sign that they have to go back to the drawing board and execute what they learned in the loss.
“Back to reality,” said Reyes.
UST was at the mercy of BOC’s offense with the Transformers punishing the Golden Tigresses to the tune of 42 spikes.
The Golden Tigresses also gave away 23 free points due to errors, something Reyes said was a result of miscommunication.
“Malaking nawala yung communication, dun kami nagkaproblema,” said Reyes.
