Just minutes after Ginebra captured the 2016 PBA Governors’ Cup after a thrilling 91-88 victory over Meralco, Mark Caguiao secured another win.

In the middle of a mosh pit of full-grown men, Caguioa dropped on one knee, looked up into the eyes of his Fil-Australian girlfriend Lauren Hudson, and popped the question.

Hudson, who was wearing a Ginebra jersey and holding up an oversized photo of Caguioa’s face, said yes.

“I was actually going to do it before the game started,” Caguioa, who gave away a ring before even receiving his championship one, shared. “We’ve been together for 12 years, and this was the right time. She’s been there since 2004 and siya nagpapalakas sa akin, I wanna thank her, she’s been through ups and downs and I love her.”

Even though planning for the wedding hasn’t started yet, Caguioa knows running mate Jayjay Helterbrand will be his best man.

“For sure he’s in there, sino pa ba?”
