Terrence Romeo is more than willing to pass the rock next season.

Named Scoring Champion for the second straight year, the GlobalPort standout shared he still wants to improve on his passing game and defense as he eyes to be more of a complete player heading into his fourth season in the league.

“Magfo-focus ako sa assists, defense, at pag-lead sa mga teammates ko. Kailangan may isang tatayo para mag-lead sa team at gusto ko maging isa ako doon,” Romeo said Saturday during the 2016 PBA Press Corps Awards.

Romeo averaged 24.9 points in his third year as a pro, while also seeing a career-bests 3.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 0.9 steals for the Batang Pier.

His outbursts, together with backcourt mate Stanley Pringle, allowed the Batang Pier to crash the semifinals in the Philippine Cup before struggling in the import-laden conferences.

Romeo acknowledged those miscues his side suffered this past year, that’s why he’s hoping to see more consistency from himself.

“Hindi madali eh. Kailangan mo maging consistent sa three conferences every year,” he said.

And Romeo hoping the whole GlobalPort will follow suit, as he eyes to face the challenge head on and help his side make more noise this coming 2017 season.

“Never naman ako tumakbo sa challenge. Mas gusto ko yun. Kailangan ko lang mag-isip ng tama at pagbutihan ang paglalaro ko. Yung mga ginawa ko for the last three years, dapat mas doblehin ko pa this year para sa GlobalPort,” he said.
