Blessings continue to pour for LA Tenorio.
After helping Ginebra end its eight-year title drought by winning the 2016 PBA Governors’ Cup crown on Wednesday, the Finals MVP welcomed his newborn son the following day.
Article continues after this advertisement“This is the next big thing na nangyari sa akin after the Jones Cup,” he said. “I think ito na yung pinakasulit na paghihintay. Maraming taong nag-doubt, pero meron talagang kapalit. And in less than 24 hours, nabura lahat yun.”
Tenorio also bagged a number of honors from the PBA Press Corps on Saturday, receiving a citation for his standout Finals performance in the season-ending conference while also getting himself included in the revived All-Interview Team.
And for him, all the accolades are just the cherry on top after that emotional championship victory.
Article continues after this advertisement“The blessings talaga na dumating sa akin, hindi mapapantayan ng kahit anong blessing,” the 32-year-old Tenorio said. “Nakakatakot nga eh, with so much blessings, what else pa kaya ang susunod? Pero ito talaga yung perfect timing na binigay sa akin ni Lord for all the adversities na nangyari sa akin in the past years.”
“I’m excited and looking forward on what’s next for me, for the team, for my family, for everything.”
