Despite failing to crack par in all four rounds, Princess Superal, Mia Piccio and amateur Regan de Guzman easily advanced to the final stage of US LPGA Qualifying on Sunday.
The 19-year-old Superal closed out with a one-over-par 73 for 294 to tie for 40th spot at the end of the second phase won by Norway’s Marianne Skarpnod at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Florida.
Piccio also carded a 73 for 296 and a tie for 52nd spot, with De Guzman shooting a 75 for 297 for joint 62nd.
The trio will be joined by Dottie Ardina and Cyna Rodriguez in the final phase slated Nov. 30 to Dec. 4 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach where only the top 80 scores and ties after the penultimate leg earned slots.
Rodriguez lost her card this season after a string of dismal finishes. —Musong R. Castillo
