Paul Heyman, Lesnar’s advocate, took exception of the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion’s comments on SportsCenter and issued a challenge to him in behalf of his Beast three weeks back in Oakland.
Goldberg then made his long awaited return to Raw the following week in Denver, saying, “Brock Lesnar just won’t be next. Brock Lesnar: you’re last!”

They then went on separate ways, with Lesnar making an ill-fated run with the Minneapolis Vikings in the NFL before venturing to mixed martial arts in UFC. He returned to the WWE on 2013, where he ended The Undertaker’s Wrestlemania streak.
Goldberg, meanwhile, went on to appear on numerous films while also doing commentary work for some other MMA promotions.
The rematch between the WCW icon and the Beast Incarnate is just the latest in what appears to be a loaded Toronto card.
Raw and SmackDown Live will battle for brand supremacy as SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon and general manager Daniel Bryan challenged their counterparts to three traditional Survivor Series elimination matches where they will pit both shows’ five best male, best female, and best tag teams against each other in three separate duels.
