Anticipating an influx of guards in the 2016 PBA Rookie Draft, GlobalPort shipped Joseph Yeo to Meralco in a one-on-one trade.

A source close to the situation confirmed the deal, which will send the former La Salle star to the Bolts in exchange of Rey Guevarra.

The trade is set to be approved by the Office of the Commissioner on Saturday.

Yeo will be joining his seventh team in 11 seasons in the league. He averaged 8.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists last season with the Batang Pier.

Meanwhile, the seldom-used Guevarra returns to GlobalPort after three seasons with Meralco.

GlobalPort owns two second round picks in the unpredictable rookie selection on Sunday, while Meralco has the rights on the seventh pick in the first round.
