Skipper Alyssa Valdez said Bureau of Customs’ showing in the elimination stages of the Shakey’s V-League Reinforced Conference will serve as a learning ground as they advance to the semifinals.
“I think ‘yung gusto ni coach is matuto, ‘yung end goal is to win, but siyempre kailangan namin talaga matuto sa game namin today entering the semifinals,” said Valdez after the Transformers denied Philippine Air Force, 23-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-21 at Philsports Arena.
Article continues after this advertisementBOC, with a 5-2 record to finish the eliminations, sits behind leaders University of Santo Tomas and Pocari Sweat, which both have 5-1 records.
Valdez added their two Thai reinforcements hitter Kanjana Kuthaisong and setter Natthanicha Jaisaen have developed the chemistry that can help them once the semifinals start.
“Today siguro after ilang games nakapag-adjust na rin siya (Kuthaisong) and knowing na ang setter niya (Jaisaen) Thai rin so it’s easier for her to talk and adjust inside the court,” said Valdez.
Kuthaisong had 21 points in the victory for the Transformers whole Jaisaen had 51 excellent sets.
