NLEX set to acquire Guinto

Wanting to get younger in the frontcourt, NLEX made its move to acquire Bradwyn Guinto from Mahindra.

A source close to the situation bared that Road Warriors are set to receive Guinto, the versatile center from San Sebastian, and veteran forward Chito Jaime in exchange for rookie guard Reden Celda and forward Jeckster Apinan.

The trade proposal was sent to the Office of the Commissioner on Wednesday morning.

Guinto turned heads this past season as he averaged 5.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in his rookie year with Mahindra.

Coach Yeng Guiao will get his wish of infusing more youth to his Road Warriors side alongside rookie Fonso Gotladera, while Asi Taulava will have the chance of mentoring Guinto, something he has alluded since last season.

The Floodbusters, meanwhile, will have a chance to develop Celda, who was selected eighth in the first round of the past draft proceedings.
