Bali Pure made quick work of a hapless Philippine Coast Guard, 25-12, 25-8, 25-9, in its final elimination game in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Reinforced Conference Wednesday at Philsports Arena.

A double block on the side of the Water Defenders ended the misery of the Lady Dolphins who never won a single set in the tournament.

The Water Defenders finished the seven-game preliminaries with 15 points and a 5-2 record giving them at least the third seed in the standings.

Water Defenders team captain Kaylee Manns said they knew they couldn’t take the Lady Dolphins lightly since a winless team can pull of surprises especially with their backs against the wall.

“Yes, kind of, because you know how it goes, you come in you take it for granted, you don’t play your best and teams like that can sneak up on you and win,” said Manns. “Hopefully it didn’t happen.”

Katherine Morrell had 20 points to lead Bali Pure while Dzi Gervacio added 13.

Coast Guard was on the receiving end of a relentless Bali Pure attack as the Water Defenders scored in 44 spikes and 14 service aces.
