Foton confident of nailing title

With all due respect to the rest of the field, Foton will bring home the championship.

That’s how Moro Branislav, Foton’s Serbian coach, vouched for the title potential of his Tornadoes, who return to action in the Asics-Philippine Superliga Grand Prix along with five other teams Thursday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

“All teams are strong but I still see my club, Foton, winning the championship,” said Branislav, who coached the PSL selection in the recent FIVB Women’s Club Championships.

Americans Lindsay Stalzer and Ariel Usher will lead Foton, which will face Generika at 3 p.m. F2 Logistics battles Cignal at 5 p.m. and RC-Army tackles Petron at 7 p.m. —Marc Reyes
