Foton showed its dominance anew, dispatching Generika, 25-13, 25-13, 25-17 Thursday in the 2016 Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Tornadoes gained a share of the lead, tying Petron with a 2-0 record.

“Today, the result for us is OK. This is normal for Foton. We want to finish first,” said coach Moro Branislav.

Maika Ortiz topped the Tornadoes with 11 points, while Lindsay Stalzer got 10 markers, nine of which from kills.

Jaja Santiago also had 10 points, while Ariel Usher got nine, as Foton only committed 10 errors for the match.

Foton best showed its class in the second set, where it raced to a 17-4 advantage and took a commanding two-set lead.

Generika tried to wage a fightback against an all-Filipino Tornadoes in the third set, but Jaja Santiago ended the match with a service ace.

The Life Savers plummeted to a 0-3 record to stay in the cellar.

Ria Meneses paced Generika with eight points, while Polina Liutikova got seven in the loss.
