Petron kept itself on top of 2016 Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix, clipping RC Cola-Army, 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 25-19, Thursday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Stephanie Niemer powered the Tri-Activ Spikers, pummeling the opposition with 24 points, 20 from kills, three service aces, and a block.

Serena Warner also had 11 of her 14 markers off hits, while Frances Molina got 13.

“Syempre happy kami. Pero gusto namin ma-maintain lang yung ginagawa namin kasi medyo matagal ito kaya dapat mas tumibay kami at dapat mas mag-jell yung team at mapaghandaan pa yung mga makakalaban namin,” said coach Shaq delos Santos.

The Tri-Activ Spikers rebounded from sorry second set, as Niemer imposed her will in the next sets to keep Petron unscathed at 3-0.

RC Cola-Army fell to an even 1-1 slate after the loss.

Jov Gonzaga topped the Lady Troopers with 16 points, while Rachel Anne Daquis got 10.
