B-Meg triumphs, keeps Shopinas winless
MANILA, Philippines—B-Meg pulled away in the final quarter to hack out a 76-65 win over Shopinas.com Wednesday night in the 37th PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
PJ Simon topscored once more with 18 points while rookie Mark Barroca added 13 to help the Llamados notch their third victory in seven games.
“In the fourth quarter, we really turned up our defense. Mark (Barroca) and Josh (Urbiztondo) led us on defense,” said B-Meg coach Tim Cone.

The Clickers, the only winless team remaining at 0-6, kept within striking distance before B-Meg found its groove.
Kerby Raymundo completed a three-point play with four minutes left that widened the Llamados’ gap to 16, 72-56.
Article continues after this advertisementElmer Espiritu, who is slowly but surely finding his game, had a team-high 13 points but was the lone Shopinas player in double-figure scoring.
