SEOUL – Yeng Guiao and Paul Lee had great memories together with Rain or Shine.
Coach and player will be on different teams, though, and are set on a collision course with NLEX, Guiao’s new team, and Star, which Lee now spearheads, slugging it out at the opening of the PBA’s 42nd Season on Nov. 20 at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
This was the tentative game schedule when league blasts off with the Philippine Cup on that day and is expected to be made official in the next couple of hours.
Guiao took a job to handle NLEX starting this season, amicably separating with the Elasto Painters after six colorful years that saw the franchise win its first two titles – both on import-laden conferences.
Lee, meanwhile, was traded by the Painters to Star for former two-time MVP James Yap just hours after Guiao officially left Rain or Shine.
