Alyssa Valdez is no stranger to comebacks.
“Since Season 76 (in the UAAP),” said Valdez when asked how being in dire straits in the past toughened her. “It’s 0-0, do-or-die match. May the best team win.”
She has to use that exhortation on her Customs teammates, who will take on BaliPure in the winner-take-all Game 3 of the semifinals in the Shakey’s V-League today.
Valdez will have to do it this time against former collegiate teammates in both Ateneo and BaliPure. Gametime is 6 p.m. at Philsports Arena.
The winner will face Pocari Sweat on Saturday in Game 1 of the best-of-three final series.
Customs coach Sherwin Meneses said adjustments with Valdez and Thai hitter Kanjana Kuthaisong are working. But he’s expecting BaliPure to come back with a counter.
