Generika lost its protest over what its coaching staff deemed as unfair officiating during its loss to RC Cola-Army last Thursday in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at Filoil Flying V Centre.

Coach Francis Vicente contested a call in the fourth set and in the process incurred a red card.

Team captain Ria Meneses was also slapped a red card as the Lifesavers eventually lost the match, 25-20, 24-26, 25-20, 26-24, to remain the only winless team in the league.

But PSL president Ramon “Tats” Suzara said the protest was null and void because it violated two league rules.

Suzara said Generika management submitted their letter of protest Friday via e-mail without bond payment.
