RC Cola-Army keeps bid semis alive, drubs Cignal

RC COLA-Army found an easy target in Cignal to score a 25-13, 25-15, 25-10 rout Tuesday in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference at Imus City Sports Complex.
With their campaign drifting following sorry defeats, the Lady Troopers hoped to stabilize and reboot their campaign. At 3-4, they need to win all three games to assure themselves of a semifinal slot.
“This is how we play. This is the Army team I used to know,” said RC Cola-Army coach Kungfu Reyes.
Skipper Jovelyn Gonzaga took charge with 15 points, while Royse Tubino and import Haillie Ripley added nine and eight, respectively as the Lady Troopers overwhelmed the HD Spikers in attacks, 41-15.
Cignal, who missed import Lynda Morales for a third straight game, trailed in all departments except in errors, 21-8.
RC Cola-Army franchise has won three conference in the early years of the PSL.
