Michael Jordan undoubtedly remains as basketball’s “greatest of all time,” and the world’s premier basketball league is reportedly producing a 10-hour documentary in his honor.

A group of accomplished filmmakers is partnering with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to come up with a film showing his Airness’ post-baseball comeback in the mid-to-late ’90s.

The New York Post’s Richard Johnson confirmed the news on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) and named the people behind the upcoming project.

“The producing team is led by Mike Tollin, who spearheaded ESPN’s acclaimed “30 for 30” series and is partnering with Peter Guber in Mandalay Sports Media. The project has been pitched to ESPN, Showtime, HBO and Fox Sports, and Jordan’s reps are looking for a deal somewhere north of $20 million,” he said.

A 10hour documentary seems to be an overkill for any other player, but MJ’s legendary career is filled with jaw-dropping moments that producers and filmmakers will never get tired of documenting.

The now 53-year-old primary owner of the Charlotte Hornets is no stranger to having his story told, evident by countless books and litany of both mainstream and unauthorized mini-films in his image.

The film has yet to reach production stage but is expected to delve into the darker side of Jordan and “gloss over his love of gambling.”  Khristian Ibarrola
