After hearing enough of Floyd Mayweather’s “elephants don’t beef with ants” rant against Conor McGregor, UFC President Dana White has come to the defense of his company’s golden goose.

The retired undefeated boxer voiced his disdain over comments comparing him to the Irish sensation, who currently holds simultaneously belts in different weight classes—a first for the premier mixed martial arts promotion.

As expected, the outspoken UFC executive took aim at the 39-year-old boxing icon and even took digs at his fighting style inside the ring.

“Conor McGregor, if he touches you, you go to sleep. Floyd puts people to sleep too, with his fighting style, not with his hands,” White told TMZ sports.

He even took a swipe at Mayweather’s supposedly dirty antics.

”You know how Floyd knocks people out? When they’re not looking. Watch the Victor Ortiz fight.”

Earlier this year, the UFC boss shut down claims of a possible crossover fight between the two tough-talking fighters. Despite his reluctance, White clearly sides with his fighter in case that superfight materializes down the line.

“This kid’s just getting started. This kid’s 28 years old. Floyd can say what he wants about Conor, but even other fighters have to respect him. He’s special,” White explained.

“Floyd’s never even come close to doing to other fighters what Conor does.”

McGregor, for his part, fired back at the brash American and said he was willing to accept a boxing match under certain financial conditions.  Khristian Ibarrola
